This place is on the South-East of Capachica capital, at 7km and about 20 minutes by bus (colectivo). The community enjoys numerous tourist assets, both natural and cultural: natural watch towers that offer panoramic views over Titicaca Lake, wonderful islands, the Capachica peninsula, walk paths, a huge diversity of flora that is used for their medicinal properties by the local peoples, archeological ruins and sanctuaries…

Moreover, Siale Paramis offers astonishing landscapes. It is a very quiet place to share with host families, and where you can admire wonderful views in Titicaca Lake and Amantaní Island from the house. In Paramis, travelers can go for a walk to contemplate all the beauty of the biodiversity of fauna and flora, but also the archeological remains.

Daily activities in the community are also very attractive for national and international travelers.
Traditional fishing, farm tasks, preparation of typical dishes, pisé making and traditional houses building are a few examples. Folk dances, ritual ceremonies and crafts are also very interesting.

Touristic offers

Rural guest house
Visitors will stay in traditional rustic rooms, which are made with pisé and with authentic decoration. Paramis community allows 10 rooms, singles or double, with a total capacity of 24 people. Sanitary fittings are to be shared, but in houses where there is no shower, a basin is available with hot water to wash you.

Typical food
Travelers will eat typical dishes from the region in rural restaurants with view to the lake, or in host families’ kitchens.

Access

Access from Puno:
In Puno you can find a bus stop at street Jirón Lampa, next to Bellavista market. The journey lasts around 1h30.

From Capachica (capital):

To reach Paramis, take a taxi or a mototaxi. Please contact us before you come, ASTURS also gives information to its office at Plaza Principal Jirón Juliaca, N°229 – Capachica.

From Juliaca:
In Juliaca, you can take a bus to the bus terminal which is situated between Avenue Tacna and Avenue Circunvalación. The journey lasts around 40 min.
