Llachón is at 75 km of the city of Puno, about 1:45 by land and 2:00 by sea. This natural landscape is rich with mountains view, pre Incas farm terraces and its small eucalyptus woods that surround the community. This is the daily surroundings where comuneros and comuneras cultivate, fish, weave and do their domestic tasks.
Guest houses are warm and simple, where the rustic furniture and tools are made with local material (wooden shelves, reed-made curtains and blankets weaved by comuneros).
Through the window of whatever room, it is possible to admire the spectacular landscape of the lake, and we advise you to take advantage of it in particular at dawn and sunset.

Touristic offers

Rural guest house

Visitors will stay in traditional rooms with Llachón inhabitants.
These rustic rooms are pisé-made; the roof is reed-made with traditional decoration.
There are double (one bed or 2 single beds) and single. Sanitary fittings are to be shared and are close to the rooms. Showers have hot water.

Typical food

Travelers will eat typical dishes from the region in rural restaurants specially selected for them by the association.
In guest families’ kitchens, the hosts will cook for them with local products.

Access

Access from Puno:

In Puno you can find a bus stop at street Jirón Lampa, next to Bellavista market. The journey lasts around 1h30.

From Capachica (capital):

To go to Llachón, you can take a mototaxi or a taxi. The journey is around half an hour. Please contact us before you come, ASTURS also gives information to its office at Plaza Principal Jirón Juliaca, N°229 – Capachica.

From Juliaca:

In Juliaca, you can take a bus to the bus terminal which is situated between Avenue Tacna and Avenue Circunvalación. The journey lasts around 1h. Then, when you arrive to Capachica, take a mototaxi or a taxi. The journey lasts around half an hour.
