DESCRIPTION:

DAY 1: Puno – Ccotos – Tikonata Island – Ccotos

7h30: Departure from Puno to the wonderful Ccotos community. There, you will have the opportunity to climb to Anka Sayana watch tower in order to appreciate the panoramic views.  Then, take the direction of Tikonata Island with a veil boat to experiment traditional fishing. You will also be able to visit the Archeology and cultural interpretation of mommies’ museum. After, you will eat typical dishes for lunch and take advantage of a small rest on Ccotos beautiful beach. Dinner and night in guest-houses managed by the community’s families.

DAY 2: Ccotos – Amantaní Island

8h: Breakfast of typical Andin dishes with views on the lake. Let’s board up to Amantaní Island. Visit the beautiful Principal Square of Amantaní and savor a delicious typical meal with host-families. Let’s walk up to the ceremonial center Pachatata and Pachamama, to attend to a stone cut work group and visit the beautiful Principal Square of Amantaní. Finally, you will have the opportunity to share a time with the host-families during the dinner.

DAY 3: Amantaní Island – Taquile Island – Uros floating islands – Puno

8h: Breakfast with your host-family and take the direction of Taquile Island (around 1h20). Admire and take part in local craft: hand-weaving. Typical lunch. Let’s boat to reach Uros floating islands. Exhibition and participation to different activities: farm products, seaweed, fishes, reed’s family plants and cultural exchange with the Uros. At the end of the day, back to Puno.
